For today's lunch, I tried the sandwich at Smoky Mountain BBQ Company in Murphy. As with other places, smoke generously wafted from the place. High hopes. Again. The meat was piled high. Really high, with a smattering of slaw. There was an overabundance of meat and that's not a complaint, but it was a tad dry. Their house sauce was one of the better sauces I've had, so that was beneficial in being able to really enjoy the 'cue. There was not much smoke and no sight of a smoke ring. Wood was piled high outside, so wood was there, but not apparent in the cook. The slaw was creamy and quite tasty. Just wish the meat was not as dry and there was more smokiness. 7/10.
