One of the many benefits of my job is the occasional out-of-town trip that includes driving to parts of the state I may not go to if not for work. One of those perks is being able to stop at the legendary Duke's Grill. Monroe.
Serving up mouth-watering burgers since 1951, Duke's has made pretty much every "Best Burger" list for North Carolina for as long as I can remember. Maybe even a few best of the south as well, having been featured in Southern Living a couple of times during its 72 years of putting smiles on burger lovers' faces.
There's always been a saying about the number of napkins needed for a burger means how great a burger it is. And eating one of Duke's double cheeseburgers with lettuce, tomato, and (fantastic) chili... well, you better forget napkins, and bring a dadgum towel. Messy = Yummy.
