"If it's not Scottish (beer), it's crap!"

Mostly local brews while touring Scotland, with the exception of the Guinness I had on Isle of Skye due the fact it was the only beer available at that evening's dinner at the hotel. My favorite brew by far was the Scottish Stout from The Dunvegan in their Golfers Corner Lounge Bar in St. Andrews. I could drink that all day w/o a worry in the world. Sarah had The Dunvegan lager and she loved it. The Tennent’s Lager I had in a couple of places (our inn's pub in Rosehearty and lunch in Fort William) was super crisp and refreshing. After an afternoon of driving, the view from Uig Hotel overlooking Uig Bay was enhanced by a coolish Belhaven's Best. Had a wonderful lager brewed by Uile-bheist there along the River Ness (yes, as in "Loch Ness," hence the uber cool monster logo) in Inverness, but the happy moment of the visit was killing a bottle of Blanton's, keeping the bottle, and getting an elusive "N:" for my horse collection. Sarah had a Maltsmith's lager in Edinburgh at The Piper's Rest that was a wee bit better than my Tennent's. We tried to visit a couple of other brewery's, but they're not like those here in the states with tap rooms for drinking, so we had to opt for pubs nearby that sold those local brews.
